 I have managed to successfully build & install:[[BR]]
 octave +atlas +gcc48 on Mavericks with Xcode 6.0.1 and[[BR]]
 octave +atlas +gcc49 on Yosemite with Xcode 6.1 (6A1030)[[BR]]
