 I've been doing this for all the Qt ports I'm working on; I find it very
 convenient for development. For one, it helps to avoid accidental wiping
 of the work directory, which is a huge boon for something as huge as Qt.
 It's not something that I'm adamant to maintain once the port is ready to
 be released, though.

 However, supposing that at some point we may need to support multiple Qt 5
 versions via port:qt5-mac (as a function of OS X version, like ld64 used
 to do), it will also help keep Portfile complexity down. Idem for
 subports, btw.
