 I have no opinion about `openmaintainer`. That's up to Chris (and Mattia
 in case that he's still active) to decide.

 While I have nothing against being added as a secondary maintainer (I'm
 already maintainer of ROOT6), there's no pressing need to do so. Chris
 follows the development very closely and is always up-to-date and submits
 tickets long before I would ever notice a new release. And very often
 other committers close his tickets anyway (before I have time to look into
 it).

 I don't see why Chris wouldn't deserve commit rights anyway.

 I would also like to figure out if Mattia is still around. I don't
 remember seeing any contribution from him.
