 Oh. I was hoping it was just a compiler problem. And on my Yosemite
 system, I was able to reproduce the error if build gpsd with MacPorts gcc
 4.3, 4.4, or 4.5, but it built fine with gcc 4.6, 4.7 and 4.8.

 Using clang on Yosemite, a warning is emitted instead:

 I'll ask the developer if the code can be changed so that there are no
 redefinitions.
