Comment:

 Python 2.6 is [https://www.python.org/download/releases/2.6.9/ no longer
 being maintained] upstream, python26 currently has no maintainer
 (r127635), and this ticket has had no activity for some time.[[BR]]
 It seems unlikely that this will be fixed.
