 I'm not saying the advice is wrong. All I'm saying is that you are
 experiencing a different configure/build than the rest of us. I don't get
 any `-lcrypt` in my Makefiles. What does
 {{{
 port provides /opt/local/lib/libcrypt.dylib
 }}}
 return?
