 Is there a way to log to a file output from ~/.xinitrc or the files in
 ~/.xinitrc.d? Maybe some command inside these shell scripts produces some
 useful output!

 The log file ~/Library/Logs/X11/org.macports.log contains a possible error
 in the first line and later another possible one when trying to load a
 keymap file:
