 stdout and stderr is already directed to syslog by launchd_startx.

 If you want to redirect it on your own, go ahead.  As you mentioned,
 they're just shell scripts.

 Nope, that's not an error.  That's expected behavior.  Your DISPLAY envvar
 is setup for XQuartz.app, and that line is telling you as much.

 The keymap log is expected as well.  We don't use static keymaps.  We
 generate them ourselves.
