 After upgrade to 1.12.13 my system also segv's.

 XCode Version 6.1.1 (6A2008a)

 uname -a:
 Darwin calculus.local 13.4.0 Darwin Kernel Version 13.4.0: Sun Aug 17
 19:50:11 PDT 2014; root:xnu-2422.115.4~1/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64

 previously installed version was: wireshark
 @1.10.7_1+adns+geoip+gnutls+ipv6+libgcrypt+libsmi+lua+rtp+ssl+x11

 what file do i change to attempt the DGDK_PIXBUF_DISABLE_DEPRECATED
 related fix?
