 Following on ticket  #46140  , I am unable to install the gdal port with
 the hdf5 variants due to missing mpi.h (and other associated openmpi
 headers).

 A similar issue was found for the h5utils package.

 My hdf5 port installed is:
 hdf5 @1.8.13_0+cxx+gcc48+openmpi+szip (active)
