 I was able to build the passfile variant on 10.9, so the openssl issue may
 have been resolved.  Can someone else confirm and close this ticket?

 Looking at aseidl’s log file, the error is actually a name conflict on
 panic.  However, there should already be a patch for that.  Try doing a
 selfupdate or sync and then install again.
