 Until it is fixed upstream, please add a port patch to implement the
 suggestion at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rubber/+bug/414431
 , specifically comment number 4, to add a line to switch on synctex for
 pdflatex when rubber is called.

 (I have a new computer, so I don't have my local ports repository set up
 yet to be able to provide the patch file.)
