 Lion requires a 64-bit CPU and drops support for PowerPC apps through
 Rosetta, so this is why Snow Leopard is a huge boundary and Lion isn't.
 There's basically no difference in hardware requirements from Lion to
 Mountain Lion.

 You might be thinking of the fact that Lion still offered a 32-bit
 *kernel* (for those who still had 32-bit kexts they wanted to run), but it
 has always required a 64-bit Intel CPU no matter what.
