 I ran the xcode-select command:
 {{{
 Computer:~ user$ sudo xcode-select --install
 Password:
 xcode-select: error: command line tools are already installed, use
 "Software Update" to install updates
 }}}

 I then removed Xcode completely from my system, rebooted, and reinstalled
 Xcode.

 Gimp2 built successfully with no issues.

 Obviously, there must have been something hinky with the Xcode
 installation, although the fact that other ports built successfully is a
 bit confusing.
