 I am just wondering, if it would not make sense to have the possibility to
 install both a serial and a parallel version of this port. Application
 would compile against either version by choosing `h5cc` vs. `h5pcc`
 respectively.

 This would imply to have two different (sub)ports and to handle the
 install location conflict.

 Any thougts?
