 This ticket requests the addition of parallel support (i.e. MPI mode).

 CAUTION: \\
 The parallel build as documented on
 ~~http://docs.h5py.org/en/latest/mpi.html#parallel~~ talks about ~~`python
 setup.py build --mpi`~~ but this seems not to work.
