 Are you sure that's still actual? FWIW, I just deactivated port:gtk3 and
 did a `port destroot poppler-qt5-mac +test`: I didn't see any reference to
 GTk3 and all tests completed just fine.
 BTW, `make check` only actually runs tests for the Qt subports; for
 poppler itself it does nothing. Maybe because GTk3 support is deactivated
 and thus no test executables are built?
