 I have a bunch of ports that already do VPATH building (as this type of
 building is known to me as). I'd prefer to be able to move these over as I
 get to them, as opposed to being forced to fix them all ASAP -- so, my
 vote is to set the option to "no" by default. But, if enough others want
 to do "yes" then I'll figure out a way to make it work. I think the amount
 of "work" required by us is about the same, it's the question of whether
 that work is required all up front (ASAP) or spread out over time.
