 So, you're starting `/Applications/MacPorts/pinentry-
 mac.app/Contents/MacOS/pinentry-mac` up, right?

 And that's then printing on `STDOUT` and reading from `STDIN`. That's
 normal.

 After it started up, enter `GETPIN`, which will bring up a (in this case
 test) graphical dialog.

 Does that solve your problem?
