 Done, as well as the update to 2.2.1 . And maintaining a version that does
 have the libVLC subport, in hope that that's the version that will be
 accepted eventually. I continue to think that there's more justification
 for a port:libVLC than for port:VLC even if for the moment I know of only
 1 3rd-party project that actually uses the library.

 Where do those performance enhancements come from? In building the port?
