 I wouldn't say it needs to, no. As a new feature - at least as far as
 MacPorts is concerned - I think it's reasonable to implement just for the
 current release and subsequent releases.

 I haven't tested it with clang-3.7 but I see no reason why it wouldn't
 work. Note that in the clang-3.7 port the enclosed patch would replace the
 existing 0003 patch.
