 see this fix is listed in their
 [https://github.com/Blosc/c-blosc/commit/9706b36501fd1d78e34e79c0627ff5b1c619da3a
 release notes for 1.6.2]. We can probably easily backport
 [https://github.com/Blosc/c-blosc/commit/1c36bf1507f52cd0b48b49d62f0622bfe3763d50
 the fix] if they don't release 1.6.2 soon.
