 Replying to [ticket:47752 tome@…]:
 > the first failure log indicated that automake was at the wrong level in
 /usr/bin/, so i found the correct level under /opt/local/... and copied it
 to /usr/bin/, overwriting the lesser version.

 You should not modify anything in /usr/bin; only Apple-provided OS updates
 should modify files there. Please put the contents of /usr/bin back the
 way they were before your modifications.
