Comment:

 You shouldn't have even gotten this far: you should've seen the same
 problem with rtorrent's dependency libtorrent already; see #41417. Note:
 the suggestion in that ticket to use a MacPorts gcc compiler is ''not''
 recommended. Instead the port should be updated to a version compatible
 with Mavericks and later.
