 Mountain Lion is still a supported platform (as a matter of fact, MacPorts
 still has builders for systems back to Snow Leopard, and runs on platforms
 even older than that).

 The error message should have mentioned a log file in the
 /opt/local/var/macports/logs/ directory. Please attach the file to this
 report in order to allow us to diagnose the problem.
