 NB: if this is indeed the error, it would seem that it'd be useful to
 propose an extension to MacPorts "base":

 if a new switch (for instance build.casesensitive) is true, do not create
 ${workpath} as a simple directory under var/macports/build, but create a
 dmg with a case-sensitive filesystem, and mount that onto the expected
 ${workpath}.
