 I had an install of `erlang +hipe+ssl+wxwidgets` fail due to a missing
 header  `<GL/glu.h>`; installing the libGLU port seemed to make things
 work. I'm assuming libGLU is just missing as a dependency.

 (Didn't bother to keep the log; will try to reproduce if this issue turns
 out to be more subtle than I assume.)
