 Given the transition for many folks to 10.11 & the need for many folks to
 build/rebuild qt4-mac because of the issues from ticket #48129, I'm also
 thinking of doing the install location transition here at the same checkin
 time. If things are going to be (potentially) messy, let's just get it
 over with (IMHO)! I'm going to give folks through the weekend for testing
 / evaluation of the patch from the other ticket & then commit on Monday if
 there are no issues discovered. Constructive thoughts or comments (e.g.:
 beyond "it's about time"; or "my thoughts are abundantly clear"; etc).
