 after a lot of testing I found out why I had two ntpd processes. I had
 defined a server name instead of IP address. Ntpd spawns a child process
 for DNS resolution.[[BR]]

 Furthermore it is not necessary to have "ac_cv_search_nlist=no" and also
 libevent and libedit are not necessary.
