 I have this problem as well.

 I updated to El Capitan in the past few days.  I completely uninstalled
 MacPorts, re-installed, and then set up all the ports I had before. For
 almost all of them, I had no problem.

 `libgcc45` failed for me in precisely the same was as the OP.

 Please let me know if there's some command I can execute to gather more
 information.
