 I'm running in the same issue with macports version 2.3.4 on osx 10.8.5
 with XCode 5.1.1 and command line tools installed. Build of pstoedit 3.7.0
 fails with error "Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64". Please note
 that I've modified my macports.conf as described in
 https://trac.macports.org/wiki/LibcxxOnOlderSystems. Log file and
 macports.conf are attached.
