 julia currently uses llvm-3.5. Could this please be changed to use a newer
 stable version of llvm, such as llvm-3.6 or (after #48759 is resolved)
 llvm-3.7?

 julia also defaults to the gcc49 variant, but gcc5 is the latest stable
 version; perhaps gcc5 could be used by default as well.
