 We could certainly add a setrlimit call to raise RLIMIT_NOFILE, if that's
 the problem. There's actually a code snippet doing this in tracelib
 already.

 Reporter, have you tried fiddling with `ulimit -n` before running port?
 The default is 256, so maybe raise it to something like 1024.
