 I've deleted the
 "/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_net_curl/curl/work"
 folder and re-executed the command.  That execution returned the same
 error.  My guess is there is an issue with the building/staging of the
 curl object code (but not certain about that).

 I am very new to OSx (but have a lot of experience with Linux) and request
 a little guidance for this issue.
