 and was able to create a patch file that works for me (see attachment).
 Please note that my updated Portfile downloads QGIS 2.14.1 instead of the
 current MacPorts version 2.14.0; I haven't had time to test the patch with
 2.14.0. But maybe QGIS version should be bumped up to 2.14.1 anyway?
