 I personally would argue that we should get ride of the remaining py26
 subports pretty soon.

 As far as I recall, there was some timeline to phase out python 2.6 and
 3.3 subports already some time back and quite a lot of the py26/py33
 subports were already removed. I have removed them for the ports I
 maintain. So there is no complete ecosystem for Python 2.6/3.3 in Macports
 anymore and I doubt anyone is still installing them. It is also often
 necessary to drop py26 support when updating some python packages, because
 upstream drops support.
