Comment:

 glib2 2.48.2 installs fine on macOS Sierra beta 5. Make sure you install
 and `xcode-select` Xcode 8 beta or later, and install the corresponding
 version of the command line tools. Earlier Xcode and command line tools
 versions cannot be used with Sierra.
