 As of version 4.2, C++11 is a requirement of Octave, so we must find a way
 of using a C++11 compliant compiler.[[BR]]
 I apparently do not understand libc++ vs libstdc++ as well as I though I
 did.[[BR]]
 Another wrinkle is that I have very limited ability to test my code on
 older systems.[[BR]]
 I will keep trying to find a solution, but any suggestions are
 welcome.[[BR]]
