Comment:

 I updated the port (like it was mentioned in the PR above), but didn't do
 any testing of the functionality beyond making sure that it installs
 cleanly and I didn't test whether it still compiles on Leopard. A build
 failure on Tiger is listed in #40327.

 In particular I didn't do anything at all to address the problem with
 signing extensions. I blindly opened a new ticket under #53161 and want to
 leave it up to others to figure out what to do with that.
