 Current poppler distfile poppler-0.50.0.tar.xz is fetchible via the
 MacPorts distfile mirrors as well as the upstream download location.  I
 don't know whether this means the distfile mirroring is working
 automatically now or whether this was done manually (as in some other
 tickets).

 At any rate, the issue should be moot now.
