 I know; I'm under the impression that KWrite is a simplified editor and as
 such a "bit more devoid of interest" than Kate itself.

 I've submitted the patch upstream; given that the main dev is rather
 reactive I hope that he'll take care of kwrite (and then I'll incorporate
 /cherry-pick the upstream patch until it appears in a release).
