 I had the same problem and fixing PATH also did not work. However, putting
 a soft link to macdeployqt into /opt/local/bin does work:

 {{{
 cd /opt/local/bin
 sudo ln -s /opt/local/libexec/qt4/bin/macdeployqt
 }}}
