 Hi,

 I was able to apply the Portfile.diff and I copied the other diff file
 into the Portfile directory. But I guess i then made the mistake by
 deinstalling and the run another
 {{{
 sudo port install net-snmp
 }}}
 again.

 What then happened was that macports was pulling a new revision (4). That
 was taking quite long to compile (in comparison to the runs before) and
 then it worked :-).

 Guess you already added the fix to the repo, right?
