Comment:

 Can you please try again? If it still fails, please do the following:
 {{{
 sudo port clean py27-astropy
 sudo port install py27-astropy
 }}}
 and then attach `main.log`. This is only failing to fetch the binary
 package. I would assume that building from source should normally continue
 in that case. It also depends when you tried that. Maybe the binary
 archive wasn't available yet on http://packages.macports.org/py27-astropy/
 when you tried to upgrade.
