 Sorry, to be pedantic but can you please be specific about what we should
 test? For me the latest Python 2.7 (2.7.12_1) and libedit (20160618-3.1_0)
 does **not** resolve the problem and python-readline is still required.
 Should I be working with a checkout? Also, doesn't this have as much to do
 with ncurses as it does with libedit?
