 I would like to have some software that supports MIDI files. (Quick Time 7
 does that to some extent.)

 Many people recommended timidity, a software last modified in 2004, but
 apparently still OK and HomeBrew packages it:

 Just in case it's relevant (and easier to use in MP), google led me to a
 much simpler version of the same formula (for the same version of the
 software):

 The sourceforge is currently experiencing problems, but this is the
 homepage:

 Here's a link to sources and PPC binaries for a Cocoa GUI (which need a

 I would be grateful if someone would look into this, but I'll probably try
 to come up with something if nobody else does, I just need more time and
 wanted a reminder with links.
