 On my copy, I see:

           cmd LC_RPATH
       cmdsize 32
          path @loader_path (offset 12)
 --
           cmd LC_RPATH
       cmdsize 40
          path @executable_path/../lib (offset 12)
 }}}

 Arguably, the second one is extraneous for the dylib.  The first one
 should be resolving it.

 Are those not set for you?

 What is the output when you run with DYLD_PRINT_RPATHS=1
