 Status update: I've had a first successful build of the new GHC and am
 currently testing Debian's patch to fix an issue where the build path of
 the compiler leaks into the ABI hashes (see
 https://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/10424), since that would affect us
 with every binary package we ship from the buildbots.
