 Yes, I think the github repo is the way to go, using gmic.eu as the
 homepage.  Current release version is 1.6.7.

 Since there has been no response from the maintainer, the port is now
 nomaintainer per #50630.  Please feel free to go ahead and update the
 port. And if there's any way to make it build with +quartz as well as the
 current X11 (not sure this is the case), that would be a big plus.  See
 #50680.
