 I have just installed MyPaint for Mac OS but the application will not
 open.

 I am running Mac OS 10.11.4 on an iMac with Xcode 7.2.

 I installed MyPaint version 1.2.0.

 There were no error messages.

 Steps that I took:
 1/ Installed MyPaint application to Mac.
 2/ MyPaint application was successfully installed via MacPorts into my
 Applications folder.
 3/ Clicked the MyPaint application, it began to bounce in the dock but the
 program did not open.
 4/ After a couple of bounces MyPaint eventually closed itself and the
 application icon disappeared from the dock.
 5/ I tried to reopen MyPaint and got the same results each time.

 Thank you for your help with this issue.
